The place is pieceful, where you sleep like a log , with the sound of the ocean. The property is clean as always, not far away from town and restaurants if you forgot o buy something. I simply go there just to rewind, enjoy the view from the patio, while drinking my morning coffee. And it’s close from the ocean. What can be better?

  We rented the Ocean Sunset for a week in February. We have been coming to Irish Beach every year since the 1980’s. Things have changed over the years with most of the homeowners renting out privately online. We like this house because it is affordable, guiet, and relaxing. The hot tub was not working and I was not told about it. There were ants in the kitchen. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

  Loved the amazing Thanksgiving weather - not expected! Kitchen had all the tools we needed for our Thanksgiving for two. The spa decided to take a vacation for our vacation, so we had about 5 minutes of mostly warm water out of 5 days, but that was our only issue. The deck was perfect for lunch in the sun, got to see humpback whales through our binoculars, the neighborhood is quiet, and the neighborhood birds and deer brought us smiles. We personally found the furniture a little stiff, but being loungers, that's a biased opinion. There is a lot of space and was very comfortable for our stay.

  Basic house. Good for couple or couple plus child. Great view. Basic hotel clean, but needs a lot of deep loving owner tlc. Kitchen missing some essential items that could be provided for a minimum amount: dish drainer, cheese grater, wine glasses, colander. Only two plastic chairs for the deck. With little effort the house could be much nicer, but, I would probably stay there again.

  We stayed in Ocean Sunset for 6 days. It is a comfortable home in a good location, but was in need of some maintenance. Several shades did not open, the dishwasher left a small puddle of water on the floor when used, and the sliding glass door was EXTREMELY hard to open and close. It was clean with the exception of the interior of the refrigerator. The kitchen was well stocked, but there was an inadequate supply of kitchen towels, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper and bath soap. The beds were comfortable. The living room was light and well decorated with a newer carpet. The hot tub was very clean. With some maintenance and additional supplies, this would be an excellent place to stay. We enjoyed our stay in Irish Beach. It is a lovely spot for those who want to relax and enjoy nature.

  A nice cozy house to rent for the beach. You sit next to highway 1, so a little noise is to be expected. It was much less than we thought it was going to be. We were happy with the cleanliness of the home and there were a few board games and cards to keep our little one occupied. The fireplace worked very well once we got it going, a nice touch on those colder nights. The patio has so much potential, but no patio set outside to enjoy the large space.

  The Irish Beach - Manchester area is a really nice spot on the NorCal coast and this rental home is very close to the edge of the ocean, which can be seen from the living room and kitchen windows. Waking in the AM sitting on the patio is a great start to the day and we enjoyed a relaxing trip. The home was very clean, except right out the sliding glass door to the balcony patio, there is a good size pile of bird poop from the nesting birds on the roof overhang. Looked like it had been there for a while. Also, the sliding glass door is difficult to open and close and probably needs maintenance to make it slide smooth again.
  Nothing bad minus the couple easy to correct issues. I would recommend booking with the Irish Beach Rental Office directly instead of VRBO, Bring Fido or other websites that take about $200 on the price for nothing. (I am not a paid actor)

  Stayed here for Labor Day weekend 2016. Kitchen was well stocked with tools, fortunately for us, because we did a lot of cooking and eating! Hot tub was nice to warm up after a morning of abalone diving. Caught some surf perch on the beach and grilled them on the BBQ. Keep in mind that this place is pet friendly so if you have allergies or are picky about finding pet hairs, keep that in mind. Also there is a sign stating no shoes allowed in the house so be aware. I ended up getting a lot of bug bites around my ankles and feet, but I'm not sure if it's because of the home or from the beach. Also be aware that there is no WiFi here and barely any cellular service.

  We were surprised to discover that this home comes with absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay...including a telescope to have an even better view of the already amazing views! We could tell that the bedding was top quality and plenty of extra towels, pillows and blankets. Every kitchen appliance and all of the dishes seemed brand new, and we had everything we needed to bake and prepare meals. We completely enjoyed the hot tub...we were astounded by all of the stars we could see, even through the huge trees! The large decking was perfect for yoga, and the private beach was a wonderful peaceful and beautiful. We walked to the lake often..again beautiful!! The neighbors are friendly and helpful, but just far enough away to have plenty of privacy...we had deer in the yard almost every day, which our dog enjoyed..( from a safe distance)
  We felt like we were living in a "model home" when we were enjoying the fireplace while watching Direct TV because the furniture and accessories are all so well appointed. My favorite thing about the home is the view, the high ceiling windows and the entire west side of the house has a panoramic ocean view including the lighthouse, I took many pictures!

  Our stay was excellent. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, view from deck was outstanding as well as the many dear grazing around the property.

  We always love staying at Irish Beach & have rented a few different homes over the years. We liked the view from this home and even though it's somewhat small, the way it's set up was convenient for our family. A few repairs & replacements are needed: the TV is visibly broken, yet functional and several vertical blind panels on the patio slider are missing. We had an overall wonderful stay.

  We stayed at this lovely home for 5 days over Thanksgiving. Our vacation could not have been any more perfect!!! The home was the perfect size for a cozy, comfy, enjoyable weekend with my husband and our friends. The beds were very comfortable and I slept like a baby with the sound of the trees and crickets outside the bedroom window. We spent most of our time lounging in the living room with the screen open to the deck so that the fresh sea breeze could roll through the house. Even sitting on the couch we could see the ocean. The sunsets were stunning and the mornings so peaceful. We got lucky with incredible weather and made the most of it with time on the private beach. Having access to a private beach was definitely a major perk! We loved how beautiful and expansive the beach is. So much character and such a great place for hours of play time in the sand and waves. The kitchen was a good size and allowed us plenty of space for cooking big meals. Everything about the home and our stay at Irish Beach was perfect!!!

  My wife and I stayed with our daughter and son in law. The house was comfortable and well equipped. The weather was clear. The beach was almost vacant and we ran the dogs until they just wanted to sleep. Mendocino was very busy but fun. Overall a good 3 day break.

  We've enjoyed staying at Irish Beach before; however, the house we'd previously rented was not available for the duration of our most recent trip. So we rented a different house that met our pet-friendly, spa-included requirements. To our surprise, when we arrived at Irish Beach, this second house was not available either, due to "unforseen circumstances". The management company made amends, making an exception by allowing us to stay in a non-pet-friendly house. What an upgrade!! The house was meticulously clean (yes, people with pets do appreciate cleanliness), functioned perfectly, and had a magnificent view. As we experienced before, the peaceful surroundings were amazingly restorative and our two Collies loved the beach. The area is remote enough to lack Wi-Fi services, but this can be a real blessing if you truly want to "get away from it all"!

  After an initial mistake, the folks at the rental agency more than compensated us for the error. I was especially impressed with Kim's professionalism. We received among other things an upgrade on our rental to the Ocean Sunset house, which was lovely with great views. The only less-than-wonderful thing about the place is it's rather close location to Hwy 1, but since there's isn't that much traffic, it wasn't really a problem.
